YCT Nay. This bill regulates the salary of county constables in counties that have at least one million people residing there. The salary would be set at 80 percent of the county judge’s salary. State government should not regulate the salaries of various county officials. Salaries should be designed to reward for abilities and achievements. County officials should determine the salary worthiness of the constable position in each district.
