Adoption of Amendment #17 by Hamric. 5/24/99 RV #457, p 3110 The Hamric Amendment failed 61-70.

YCT Yea. The amendment provides that unincorporated areas may not be annexed unless voters in the areas approve the annexation. This amendment would apply to areas near large cities. This amendment gives citizens in unincorporated areas the right to determine their community’s future. YCT believes in self-determination of communities and peoples.
