Motion to reconsider the vote by which HB 1641 passed. RV 111, p 978, 4/4/01 HB 1641 passed on reconsideration 119-17-3.

YCT Nay. HB 1641 would provide certain “underrepresented” minority and rural students an equal opportunity to enroll in or receive a competitive scholarship for a graduate or professional degree. All students should be given an equal opportunity to apply for competitive scholarships for state colleges without special treatment given to race or socioeconomic background.
