Passage of Floor Amendment # 1 by Shapleigh. 5/3/01, p 1664 The Shapleigh Amendment failed 14-15-1.

YCT Nay. The bill would require 40 percent of tuition increases in law and pharmacy school studies to fund scholarships based on need within these respective schools. YCT believes that tuition costs are high enough already and strains the budgets of students. If tuition is increases, the money should be directed at enhancing the facilities and studies for the entire student body and not given to one specific interest group.
