YCT Yea. Amendment 9 would have added a provision to the school finance bill that would prohibit the Legislature from reducing education spending, adjusted for student growth. The effect of the amendment would be automatic biennial increases in education spending. YCT believes that the Legislature should look for ways to make the education system less costly, and Amendment 9 undermines that goal.
