Passage to engrossment. RV 34, February 24, 2005, p 449 HB 259 passed 109 – 30 – 1.

YCT Yea. In 2003, a provision was quietly inserted into the Transportation Code that allowed municipalities to install cameras at intersections and photograph red light runners and send the owner or operator of the vehicle a civil citation. HB 259 repeals this provision. YCT opposes installation of government-monitored cameras to broadly survey the public, as these invade on our civil liberties.
