YCT Nay. Amendment 22 altered the Texas Education Agency sunset bill’s pilot voucher program by allowing only public school choice under the program, effectively destroying the program. YCT believes that free market reforms such as vouchers are necessary to encourage the lowest performing public schools to improve.
