Adoption. Amendment 1 by Hochberg. RV 12, July 26, 2005, p 42 Amendment 1 adopted 76 – 67 – 1. 

YCT Nay. Amendment 1 was the Democratic substitute school finance and education bill. It reduced the bill’s property tax relief, added an additional $2 billion to be spent by the education bureaucracy, and constituted a net tax increase. YCT opposes spending new money on the public education system without meaningful reform and opposes all tax increases.
