HB 1893 would have allowed concealed
handgun permit holders to carry a concealed
weapon on college campuses. The existing
prohibition is a violation of students’ 2nd
amendment rights and is counterproductive,
effectively prohibiting only law abiding citizens
from carrying guns for their own protection.
