YCT Yea. HB 273, would have, contingent upon the passage of the interstate healthcare compact provisions of HB 5, created a committee to study the implementation of interstate healthcare compacts. The provisions of this measure would only take effect if the state approves the necessary legal framework and receives the blessing of Congress. Regardless of one’s position on interstate healthcare compacts, such approval would prove that they are meritorious and worthy of examination. Accordingly, opposition to this measure was seriously misplaced.
