56. HB 750 Coauthoring

YCT coauthoring.  HB 750 would have expanded the rights of concealed handgun license holders by allowing them to legally carry on university campuses. YCT supports the expansion of concealed handgun license holders’ rights. Concealed Carry on Campus is YCT’s number one legislative priority because it directly concerns the rights of our members to protect themselves. Current policy which disallows CHL permit holders, who are allowed to carry a concealed handgun in most other arenas of society, from carrying on college campuses is nonsensical. Because HB 750 did not receive a record vote in the house, and especially in light of the way in which it was killed, YCT has again elected to score members based off of their appearance or lack thereof on the bill’s authors list.
