YCT Yea. Amendment 39 provided for the Texas Education Agency to develop a plan for the suspension of tests required by the No Child Left Behind Act as a cost?saving measure for the current biennium. YCT believes that standardized testing has proved a distraction from education and supports any measure which frees local school districts from Federal regulations and allows them to choose how best to educate their children.
