Having been raised in Houston, Jessica Farrar attended the University of Houston where she graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture.  She later attended the University of Texas School of Law, from which she received a Juris Doctorate degree.  First elected in 1994 at age 27, she is the founder of the Women’s Health Caucus and currently serves as its Chair.  She resides in Houston’s Lindale Park neighborhood with her husband, Lieutenant Colonel Marco Sanchez.
