YCT Yea. Amendment 16 to House Bill 8, Jessica’s Law, would have removed the death penalty for multiple convictions under the bill. The bill is designed as a deterrent to would-be child molesters and, as such, removing the death penalty provision would have dramatically reduced the effectiveness of this good law and order legislation.
