YCT Nay. SB 1049 would have raised the legal age for purchasing, possessing, and using cigarettes to 19. Adults 18 years of age or older should be free to make their own decisions regarding the use of tobacco products. Liberty demands that adults be free to make their own decisions, and indeed their own mistakes.
