YCT Yea. SR 14 was a vote to adopt permanent rules of the Senate of the 81st Legislature, including a provision that Voter ID would not require a 2/3 majority of the Senate to pass. Any legislative tactic aimed at easing passage of a Voter ID Bill falls in line with the fundamental belief that every vote should count once and that all votes cast should be legitimate. Voter fraud is a hazard to the public’s trust in good government and curable procedural issues should not stand in the way of addressing this important problem.
