YCT Yea. Amendment 6 to HB 1675 would have added a sunset provision to the State Board of Education (SBOE). Unlike the Texas Education Agency, the SBOE provides direct representation to the people of Texas and can be held accountable for their actions. YCT opposes all legislation that seeks to diminish the power of the SBOE in favor of unelected entities.
