YCT Yea. SB 1364 requires that the computation of electric rates be based on the way the electric utility actually filed its income taxes, rather than allowing the Public Utility Commission to negatively adjust the income tax portion of regulated rates for utilities to compensate for tax benefits received by affiliated companies. This measure will result in fairer treatment for electric utilities in Texas.
