YCT Nay. SB 15 would, if not vetoed by the Governor, have taken away oversight authority of the University of Texas Board of Regents. Taking away the regents’ authority would have been a step in the wrong direction; removal of this authority makes the University of Texas less accountable and thus less likely to be responsible with taxpayer and tuition dollars.
