Passage; April 9, 2015; Journal Page 755; 20 Yeas, 11 Nays
YCT Yea. This
bill would have established the Public Integrity Unit within the Texas Ranger
Division of the Department of Public Safety. It would have required that in the
event any alleged offenses were discovered, that the case would be transferred
to the officials county or judicial district of residence. YCT supports improving
a fair process for alleged public integrity offenses by decentralizing the
power of one county in the State of Texas.
