Motion to Suspend the regular order of business to take up for consideration CSSB 4; April 21, 2015; Journal Page 1017; 19 Yeas, 11 Nays
YCT Yea. This
bill would have enabled School Choice while using Insurance Premium or
Franchise Tax credits to incentivize its funding. YCT supports School Choice
and supports the Motion to Suspend the regular order of business to take up and
consider the bill as opposed to the 3rd reading of the bill. It remained
unclear as to whether the bill itself would potentially institutionalize the
Franchise Tax, making it more difficult to repeal or phase out, which YCT would
be against.
