YCT Nay. This bill would continue access to the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) program which would have otherwise expired at the end of this year (2015). This bill also authorized waivers from certain TWIA requirements for certain coastal residents. YCT opposes this legislation as it is anti-free market and also gives preferential treatment to a specific area of the state at the expense of tax payers statewide.
