YCT Nay on Motion to Table. This amendment would have frozen tuition at current levels at public universities and colleges and required that a university or college go through the legislature to get approval to increase the rate of tuition. YCT has opposed the misnamed and misleading 'tuition deregulation' and believes that the legislature should have control over setting tuition rates at public universities and colleges. YCT does not support the current 'fox guarding the henhouse scenario'.
