Passage; April 26, 2017; Journal Page 1299; 24 Yeas, 7 Nays

YCT Nay. SB 693 would require all school districts to install three-point seat belts in all school busses model 2017 or newer. This bill amends the current requirement by removing the provision that requires school districts to comply only to the point state funding is available to install the seat belts. This means that school districts must find the funding necessary for this mandate.
