YCT Yea. Currently,  recipients of food benefit programs (SNAP and TANF) are not required to provide photo identification when using their card. SB 1443 would have required them to do so in order to prevent fraudulent use of their card. This bill would have ensured that state allocations for these programs were used properly. YCT supports providing photo identification in order to receive benefits from the state in order to cut down on government spending due to fraud.
