Passage; March 28, 207; Journal Page 722; 21 Yeas, 10 Nays

YCT Yea. SB 5 would codify the solution to voter ID by not only requiring an ID to vote, but requiring those with a reasonable impediment to obtaining an ID to sign an affidavit saying such, in addition to providing an alternate form of ID. This should be a solution that every side of the issue can get behind. It maintains the integrity of our elections while at the same time quelling any fears for those who cannot obtain an ID.
