Passage; March 30, 2017; Journal Page 829; 20 Yeas, 11 Nays
YCT Yea. SB 13 would have stopped state, county and municipal employers from directly collecting part of their employees’ paychecks to pay employee organizations such as unions and associations. It is our belief that the government should not play a role in any labor or professional union or association. Payroll deductions benefiting unions and associations are not the public employer's responsibility.
