Passage; April 10, 2017; Journal Page 954; 29 Yeas, 2 Nays

YCT Yea. Current law does not require a condemning entity to tell landowners whether the offer they made includes more land than they have the authority to take through eminent domain. SB 626 would require the state to include in the notice an offer to the property owner to acquire any additional land that is outside the condemnation. YCT supports legislation that ensures the protection of private property owners.
