The property tax reform bill came to the Senate Floor with an exemption from the protections of the bill for taxing entities that collect $10 million in property taxes or less in order to protect rural cities and counties. Sen. Perry introduced an amendment to increase the exemption from the protections of the bill for taxing entities that collect $20 million or less in combined property and sales taxes.
