YCT Yea. The intent of SB 3 was to increase the protection and privacy in public restrooms, locker rooms and changing rooms. Bathrooms in public schools and buildings could only be used according to the gender listed on a person's birth certificate or other forms of identification issued by DPS. During the Special Session, this became a debate for the transgender community rather than to prevent violent crimes, aimed particularly towards females.
