HB 744: Expanding Medicaid Coverage

YCT Nay. HB 744 relates to Medicaid coverage of certain women after pregnancy. This bill would allow a continuation of Medicaid care and benefits for certain women for 12 or more months following the birth of a child or an involuntary miscarriage. YCT does not support Medicaid expansion or any attempt to further socialize the delivery of healthcare and medicine. Socialized medicine increases cost and reduces the quality of care; neither of these consequences help postpartum women and will only further exacerbate the crisis in healthcare affordability for all.
