SB 2: Establishing Easier and More Taxpayer Friendly Rollback Rates

YCT Yea. SB 2 established a process that enabled more rollback elections for property tax increases to occur by lowering the rollback rate from 8 to 2.5 percent in Texas. This process allows voters to have more opportunities to express their approval or disapproval of tax-rate increases. YCT supports any process that makes rollback elections easier and more taxpayer-friendly and therefore supports this bill.
