Passage; April 29, 2019; Journal Page 1358; 19 Yeas, 12 Nays.

YCT Yea. SCR 1 claims Texas' sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the U.S. Constitution. It was meant to serve notice to the federal government to halt and reverse certain mandates, and providing that unconstitutional federal legislation be prohibited or repealed. YCT supports this resolution because it would reinforce the sovereignty guaranteed to states under the Tenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Additionally, YCT supports all efforts to nullify any unconstitutional federal law.
