YCT Nay. SB 511 creates a civil penalty for anyone installing an “unsafe tire.” YCT opposes this bill because such a law would effectively prohibit many businesses from being able to install used tires. Thankfully, Governor Abbott vetoed this legislation. We agree with Governor Abbott that “Texas needs fewer laws that impose regulatory burdens on small businesses and consumers.”
