YCT Yea. HB 2496 would require municipalities attempting to designate private property as a historic landmark to receive either the consent of the property owner or an overwhelming consensus among the relevant governing entities. YCT supports any legislation that maximizes Texans’ God-given property rights and minimizes quasi-state ownership by cities, counties, and other municipalities.
