Passage; May 15, 2019; Journal Page 1913; 31 Yeas.
YCT Yea. HB 234 amends the local government and property codes to prohibit laws regulating the occasional sale of lemonade or other non-alcoholic beverages by an individual younger than 18 years of age from a stand on private property or in a public park. The bill also prohibits a property owners' association from adopting/enforcing certain restrictions that would hinder such sales by an individual who is selling with the permission of the owner of the property. YCT supports this bill because it prevents municipalities and counties from enacting regulations that infringe on personal liberties/product sale and use.
