Passage; May 16, 2019; Journal Page 1981; 17 Yeas, 14 Nays.

YCT Nay. HB 1168 was one of many attacks on the Second Amendment during the 86th legislative session. This bill would have criminalized the possession of a firearm in any area of an airport terminal. Texas is well known for being a strong supporter of the Second Amendment, and this bill would not have been representative of the interests of a large number of Texans. Due to this affront to liberty and God-given rights, YCT votes nay.
