YCT Yea. SB 1987, also known as the “Save Chick-Fil-A” bill, was a major victory for religious freedom in Texas. This bill protects Texans from governmental penalties levied in order to punish actions that stem from sincerely held religious beliefs. YCT believes that the government has no place punishing religious beliefs that do not violate the law. If the government wants to promote or punish a certain action or endorsement, it needs to go through the voice of the people in Congress.
