HB 1143: Expanding the 2nd Amendment Near Schools

YCT Yea. HB 1143 allows persons or employees of any school district or an open-enrollment charter school who hold a license to carry a handgun to transport and store a handgun or other firearm in the following areas: a locked, privately owned/leased motor vehicle in a parking lot, a garage, or any other parking area provided by the district or charter school. YCT supports any expansion of the second amendment, especially to those individuals that work or travel near gun-free school zones frequently.
