Passage; March 26, 2019;  Journal Page 616 ; 31 Yeas, 0 Nays.

YCT Yea. The bill requires the TEC to dismiss a complaint to the extent the complaint alleges a statement, registration, or report violates a law or rule if the respondent has timely filed a corrected or amended statement, registration, or report that remedies the alleged violation. The bill is lessening the reach of the TEC by giving it a clear direction. YCT is in favor of reducing the scope of bureaucracy in Texas, especially in areas in which the bureaucratic agency serves little to no use.
