Passage; April 1, 2019;  Journal Page 668 ; 26 Yeas, 5 Nays.

YCT Nay. SB 361 was an attempt to regulate the purchases of pets. The bill would have prohibited contracts that allowed the purchase of a pet to be financed over time if ownership of the pet was contingent upon the buyer making payments after the transfer of possession of the pet to the buyer. As an organization, we believe that contract terms should be determined by buyers and sellers, not the government. Therefore, YCT opposes this bill.
