Passage; April 9, 2019; Journal Page 808; 30 Yeas, 1 Nays.

YCT Yea. SB 1640 is meant to tackle backdoor deals between representatives in local and state government. It accomplishes this by making it an offense to deliberate with other representatives outside of scheduled open meeting times and imposing fines if this rule is certifiably broken. YCT supports this bill because it prohibits backdoor dealings between politicians, and protects the deliberation process against corruption.
