YCT Yea. SB 28 would have required local governments to give charter schools and school districts equal treatment under the law with regard to zoning and land use ordinances, regulations, and fees. Thus, it would have prevented localities from discriminating against charter schools. YCT supports competition in Texas’ public education system through school choice.
