Amendment No. 45 would have prohibited the Legislature from appropriating money to pay for programs for parental choice in education, including education savings accounts. The motion to table Amendment No. 45 would have meant the Legislature could appropriate money to pay for programs for parental choice in education, including education savings accounts. YCT supports increasing parental choice in education, preferably through the implementation of education savings accounts in which funding follows the student to the education services of his or her parents’ choosing.
