SB 17

SB 17 prohibits public institutions of higher education from having Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) offices, which are defined as offices with the purpose of providing or advocating for the provision of differential treatment to individuals based on their race or sex.YCT opposes any public funding being used to support the work of an employee, committee, department, or office dedicated to promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) or related woke, anti-American ideas. YCT also opposes the using of race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual preference as a factor in selecting the beneficiaries of any privilege for students, professors, and staff.
