HB 17

HB 17 makes it official misconduct for a district attorney or county attorney with criminal jurisdiction to have a policy of not prosecuting a certain criminal offense. Attorneys who violate this law can be removed. YCT favors increasing the ability to hold accountable—including by removal from office or disbarring—rogue district attorneys who fail to execute their ethical duty to enforce the law and prosecute criminals.
