HB 400 provides grants to medical schools with residency programs intended to increase the number of psychiatrists, in a time in which there is great need for more primary care doctors and psychiatrists make, on average, higher salaries than primary care doctors.
YCT opposes government programs designed to award corporate welfare or engage in cronyism by creating winners and losers in the market.
