SB 1403 authorizes the governor to create an interstate compact among interested border states to coordinate responses to illegal entry and criminal activity along the southern border. YCT favors improving border security by strategically increasing the amount of DPS troopers and the Texas National Guard presence, constructing fences and barriers where lawfully accessible, and investing in and implementing new technologies.
